Very thin walls with the noise of the neighbouring rooms shower at 7am and people walking on the stairs.

Casa antigua, muy interesante sobre todo el ascensor. Limpio, con todo lo necesario. Vecindario tranquilo a tres pasos del Paseo del Prado y 10-15 minutos caminando de Atocha. Autobus al aeropuerto por 2 euros muy cerca en Cibeles. Buen precio.

Es simple, pero para dormir esta bastante bien. La cama es comoda, el baño completo. Yo si vuelvo a madrid es seguro q vuelva alli : )

Location is excellent towards the city center. Very noisy in the nights and evenings due to walls structure I guess, though the location street is very silent. The Hostal is owned by husband and wife which are both veeeery friendly. Well, "no-speak-english" is a common thing for Spain especially for budget accomodations, so I preferred to learn some Spanish prior to my visit :)

I highly recommend Pension Corbero. I have stayed in similar pensions in other large European cities such as London and Geneva, and Pension Corbero stands out from the crowd. The pension is on a quiet street, within walking distance of the major museums. The rooms are spacious enough, and spotlessly clean. The staff was extraordinarily helpful.

Personnel tres agreable, bien situe, près du Prado, proche du centre sans être trop bruyant. chambres simples mais avec tout le nécessaire, salle de bain, avec douche, wc, baignoire, air conditionné, télévision, coffre fort gratuit, très propre. í recommander!!! j'y retournerais volontiers

Located in the heart of Huertas barrio, Pension Corbero is a great place to stay when in Madrid without the urge to spend your money on accomodation. Nice and simple, with cleaning and clean towels every day. Staff is friendly but they does not speak any English. Staying in Madrid in July is muy caliente - and thats why its so great to discover that every room has aircondition. Only claim has to be that the beds are a bit too short.

We had booked a double room at Pensión Corbero but they gave us a room in the Hostal Dulcinea (same owner, same street). It was clean, reasonable size, the beds were quite comfortable, the bathroom ok (no problem, no leak) with a hairdryer. No special charm, but good value for money. Good situation in Madrid (close to the center and museums) and it was not too noisy.

La habitación era un poquito pequeña, pero muy aseada. La almohada un poco alta y dura para mi gusto. Por lo demás, muy bien. Si vuelvo a Madrid, volveré aquí.

I have stayed here many times in the last six years. The location is fantastic, rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. This hotel offers excellent value for money and I would recommend it.

Very central accomodation, near the Prado Museum, in a quiet street. Bathroom new and clean, room very basic and sparse, old-looking decoration from the 60-70's, double bed was in fact a twin. Very friendly staff. A good quality / price choice, although not very cosy nor romantic.
