From the airport By underground, you have to change twice (three lines) go to Sol (several alternatives). In Sol take the Calle Mayor Exit, walk for about 20/30 mts and turn on the left in the Calle Esparteros, the first Street on the left is Viudo de Pontejos. (Price: single ticket 1,15€, ticket of 10, less than 6€). By Taxi, aproximately 20 minutes (depends on the traffic) its arround 25-30€. Take the highway N-II to Madrid, this will bring you to Avenida de America, continue straight on to Paseo de la Castellana, turn left until you reach Cibeles. In Cibeles turn right, there are two streets, take the one to the left which brings you to Sol. (See underground) From Atocha Train Station By underground, direct line to Sol. Once in Sol take the Calle Mayor Exit, walk for about 20/30 mts and turn on the left in the Calle Esparteros, the first Street on the left is Viudo de Pontejos. (Price: single ticket 1,15€, ticket of 10, less than 6€). By Taxi drive up Atocha, turn on the right to Plaza Santa Cruz, go straight on, this is the Calle Esparteros, the Viudo de Pontejos Street is one perpendicular on the right. We strongly recommend to use the underground in Madrid, it is the fastest way to reach the centre of Madrid as the traffic in Madrid is very dense during most of the day and it is common to get in the middle of a traffic jam.
